We need to consider the following 7 aspects comprehensively.
1. Is the slope of your land suitable?
The Linear Pivot Irrigation machine requires high land flatness, generally the slope is not more than 5%, there can be no obstacles in the plot, or the obstacles do not exceed 2.5 meters.
The technicians will design it remotely with the following information:
1) Topographic map, indicating the plot size, shape, water source and obstacles, and surface elevation.
2) Terrain slope, expressed in a percentage sign.
3) Crops that need irrigation.
4) Soil conditions include soil quality, field water holding volume, and penetration speed.
5) Meteorological conditions: annual average rainfall and its distribution month, wind speed common wind direction, ambient temperature.
6) Water source: underground deep well water or river, lake channels and their sand content and mineral quality. Groundwater flow and dynamic and static water level in dry season.
7) Power: the voltage, phase number and frequency of the power grid.
2. Head of the linear irrigation machine selection.
Would you like to choose a two wheeled linear irrigator, a four wheeled linear irrigator, or a linear irrigator with two wings?
When the width of the plot is less than 270 meters (including cantilever), it is recommended to use a two wheeled linear irrigation machine
When the width of the plot is between 270 meters and 600 meters, or when using a diesel generator, it is recommended to choose a four-wheel linear irrigation machine
When the width of the plot is greater than 600 meters, it is recommended to use a two wing linear irrigation machine.
3. Design of water demand.
The water demand of the linear pivot machine is determined by the irrigated area and the water demand of the crops and the local climate. Generally, the extreme abnormal dry weather should be taken into account.
Calculation method = irrigated area * water demand / 24 hours = water demand per hour
For example: the length of the linear pivot machine is 300 meters and the running length is 1200 meters. The planting crops are winter wheat and summer corn. The water demand per hour is calculated as follows:
1) Irrigation area =300 meters * 1,200 meters = 3,60,000 square meters
2) The peak water demand of wheat in a certain place is 6.8mm / day, and the peak water demand of corn is 7.2mm / day, so select the one with the highest water demand in the design, the calculation method is as follows:360,000 square m 2 * 7.2 mm (0.0072 m) / 24 hours =108 square water per hour
4. Irrigation time selection.
How much water can be irrigated in a day and how much irrigation depth is the most important concern of users.
Then take the 300 meters linear Pivot machine, 1200 meters running length distance as an example. The maximum speed of the equipment itself is 4 meters per minute, which means that the equipment runs at a speed of 100%, so it takes 5 hours to irrigate, but the total water supply for 5 hours is only 108 * 5=540 square water. That is, the irrigation capacity is only 1.5mm.
If 7.5mm of irrigation is required, the equipment needs to be reduced by 1 / 5 of the original speed, or 25 hours. If 15mm of irrigation is required, the corresponding rate is reduced to 1 / 10, or 40 hours.
Of course, you can also increase irrigation by increasing the amount of water, but it will lead to increase the pump and increase the cost.
5. Water source selection consideration.
1) Channel water supply
If there is surface water, such as rivers, existing channels, can be used, if there is no excavation canal, channel water demand construction needs according to the equipment water demand design, generally at the bottom of 50cm, not less than 80cm deep, width not less than 120cm, using concrete pouring or geotextile shop to prevent leakage, equipment equipped with automatic water suction device for filtration.
2) Dragging water pipes supply (not recommended)
Due to the high cost of canal repair, for the cost factor can use the pipes water supply, the pipes adopts PE100 grade HDPE or plastic hose pipe, according to the water output of the sprinkler pipe to determine the diameter, combined with the actual situation of the irrigated land set the outlet distance, generally 180 meters with a water outlet, outlet configuration quick connection, can be convenient access.
The linear irrigation machine is not recommended to use this kind of water supply, one is the need to change the water outlet frequently, the other is the weight of the pipe will affect the straightening of the sprinkler. Third, the pipe will produce friction with the surface, the equipment is constantly running, too long will wear very seriously. Fourth, the irrigation area is large, and the caliber of the pipe will be correspondingly larger, and the difficulty of dragging is higher.
6. Selection of power supply form.
1) Drag the cable for power supply
If the plot has a public power grid, power supply can be used, then the power supply pile will be set up every 200 meters, and the power supply will be equipped with a pull limit switch to ensure the safe operation of the linear pivot machine. The power supply pile shall be replaced for every 180 meters of the equipment in operation. The section area of the drag cable is obtained by the calculation equipment and the water pump, and connected with the electric control cabinet of the translation machine and the soft start cabinet of the water pump.
The translation machine drag cable can also be equipped with a cable drum device with automatic recovery function, so as to ensure a more safe and smooth operation of the equipment.towing cable power supply equipment is generally not more than 600 meters long, more than 600 meters equipment itself power and pump power is very large, the cable is thick, dragging will be very difficult.
2) Power supply of diesel generator set
Application environment: no public power grid or equipment for more than 600 meters on site.
The diesel power generation unit is composed of diesel engine, alternator, centrifugal pump, control cabinet, oil barrel, structural bottom frame, etc. The specific model shall be calculated according to the water demand of the linear pivot machine and the length of the equipment. The centrifugal pump on the linear pivot machine must be able to have the idling function, because many times the linear pivot machine is running without water.
7. The linear pivot machine guide system selection.
1) Cross-body calibration system

C.Floating guidance, equipment over 10 span use
2) Center-head of the linear pivot guide system
